In modern tanker mooring operations, the correct use of a rope stopper is essential for safety and compliance. The MAGNARO® Rope Stopper is specifically developed for use in a double line configuration, as recommended within MEG4 mooring practices.
The rope stopper is constructed from a blended combination of HMPE and polyester. This provides a strong balance between high breaking strength, low elongation and improved grip, while maintaining excellent abrasion resistance. The 12 strand construction ensures stable handling and consistent performance under load.
With a minimum breaking load of approximately 50 percent of the Ship Design MBL, the MAGNARO® Rope Stopper meets the performance requirements for tanker mooring equipment. It is available in multiple sizes, covering a wide range of SDMBL values up to 110 tonnes.
